LAPLACE, La. - It was a final chance to romp around in the Southeast Louisiana sun for three puppies and their mom. The four dogs were at the St. John Airport in Reserve, preparing to take off on a northern voyage that will end up saving their lives.
"We go to the shelters and we get animals out of the shelter that are on death row," said Bert Claveire, of the non-profit group "Dog's Wish."
